Alvear Fino

Tasting notes

Pale straw in color. Fresh, yeasty, crusty-bread nose with notes of salty almonds. Clean and tangy with a refreshing finish and a softness which makes it delightfully easy to drink. The Alvear Fino is aged in a biological way under a clear layer that the yeast creates on top of the wine, known as the velo de flor, that prevents the wine from oxidation and gives it its characteristic aroma and flavor, like Sherry. ALvear finos don’t need to be fortified as we reach the 15 percent alcohol through fermentation with the Pedro Ximenez must.
