The News

MGM Resorts International announced Drink Las Vegas, a four-day festival from September 24–27. The event features over 30 venues across ARIA, Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and Park MGM, showcasing culinary and beverage talent. It is hosted by MGM Resorts and produced by a21, an experiential event agency. Tickets and VIP passes are available online with age restrictions.

MGM Resorts International announced its inaugural Drink Las Vegas festival, scheduled for September 24‑27 across more than 30 iconic venues on the Strip—ARIA, Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, and Park MGM. The four‑day program will feature over fifty culinary and cocktail experiences, bringing together chefs such as Jean‑Georges Vongerichten and mixologists like Christine Kim.

Bar managers can move guests from a signature cocktail at ARIA’s Yucca Pool to an intimate chef dinner at Bellagio in the same evening, illustrating how concentrated programming can drive foot traffic and lift average check sizes. Off‑premise partners may align their premium spirit offerings with the chefs highlighted in the festival, considering limited‑edition releases or pairing kits that echo on‑premise experiences.

Distributors will see a broad exposure from the more than fifty events across thirty venues—a model that could spur orders for high‑proof, artisanal liquors and craft cocktails as consumers seek to replicate the flavors they experienced. Inventory planners should anticipate this potential uptick in both on‑premise consumption and off‑premise trial.

Consumers enjoy an immersive cocktail culture at over 21 years of age, with the festival supporting Keep Memory Alive through proceeds. Comparable festivals such as the Las Vegas Wine & Food Festival typically draw more than fifteen thousand attendees and generate around $20 million in economic impact, though Drink Las Vegas has yet to report attendance figures.

Spanning more than thirty venues and fifty events, MGM’s festival establishes a high standard for on‑premise experiential programming that may influence the off‑premise market and encourage retailers to offer similarly curated experiences.
