The News

Post Meridiem Spirit Company announced the launch of two new ready-to-drink margaritas, the Skinny Margarita (40 proof) and the Spicy Margarita (45 proof), in preparation for Cinco de Mayo. The products are available in all 30 states where the company is distributed. The Skinny Margarita uses silver tequila, real lime juice, and agave nectar, while the Spicy Margarita includes real orange juice and jalapeño for a spicy twist.

When Post Meridiem launches its two new ready‑to‑drink margaritas, the company will make them available in all 30 states where Post Meridiem is currently distributed for $3.99 each. The Skinny version comes in a 40‑proof bottle and the Spicy version in a 45‑proof bottle.

The move taps into a sizable portion of the RTD market: margaritas account for about 35 % of all spirit‑based ready‑to‑drink beverages, according to recent analysis.

Both new products are built around real lime juice and agave nectar instead of sugary mixers—a choice that aligns with the growing demand for healthier, lower‑calorie cocktails in retail venues.

Operators can position the bottles beside other low‑proof RTDs on the back bar, highlight them during happy‑hour promotions, and pair them with lime wedges or jalapeños to enhance the flavor profile. Adequate shelf space will be needed because the new margaritas will compete for the same positions as existing top‑selling options.

With mostly nationwide availability and a price of $3.99 each, these new margaritas occupy an attractive sweet spot—affordable enough to move quickly while still offering a respectable level of alcohol, making them an appealing proposition for retailers.

Original Press Release

ATLANTA, GA — April 8, 2026

Post Meridiem Spirit Company, the original line of premixed cocktails in 100ml cans, today announced the launch of two new ready-to-drink offerings: the Skinny Margarita (40 proof) and the Spicy Margarita (45 proof). The new additions arrive just in time for Cinco de Mayo and will be available in all 30 states where Post Meridiem is currently distributed.

The Skinny Margarita delivers a full-strength cocktail experience with a “better-for-you” approach, crafted from just three simple ingredients: silver tequila, 100% real lime juice, and agave nectar. The Spicy Margarita offers a bold, Texas-style twist, featuring 100% real orange juice and a hint of jalapeño for just the right amount of heat.

“Margaritas account for 35% of all spirit-based RTDs, and our Real Lime Juice Margarita is our top-selling cocktail,” said Andrew Rodbell, co-founder of Post Meridiem Spirit Company. “We’re excited to expand our margarita lineup with new expressions that taste great and stay true to our commitment to real ingredients.”

These new offerings build on familiar, widely loved recipes while responding to growing consumer demand for lighter options and globally inspired flavors. Both cocktails reflect Post Meridiem’s dedication to authenticity, featuring clean ingredients and full transparency. Each cocktail will be available at an accessible price point of $3.99 at retailers across the country.

Since its founding in 2018, Post Meridiem Spirit Company has grown steadily, now ranking among the top ready-to-drink brands according to Nielsen. Available in 30 states, the company continues to expand its national footprint while maintaining the quality and consistency that have defined the brand from the beginning.
