The News

Calypso announced the rollout of its Europe-led innovation program, with new products launched last month and now available in 50 markets. The products include a Zero Sugar Sparkling Lemonade line in three flavors and two new island-inspired flavors in 473ml glass bottles. The European portfolio has expanded distribution across international markets including the UK and Germany.

In Q1 2026 Calypso’s zero‑sugar sparkling lemonade line drove a 62 % jump in EU/UK volumes—more than five times the 12.3 % YoY growth seen across the low‑sugar segment by Kantar Worldpanel.

The new product is offered in three 330‑ml aluminum cans (Blood Orange Breeze, Apple Oasis, Berry Bloom) and two island‑inspired 473‑ml glass bottles (Yuzu Lychee, Sunset Peach). Shipments began in January 2026 and the line is now available across grocery, convenience and wholesale channels in the UK, Germany and France—50 markets worldwide as of May 2026.

The 330‑ml aluminum packaging aligns with the EU’s Packaging and Waste Regulation push toward recyclable containers. Euromonitor reports that 68 % of new RTD launches in Western Europe used aluminum in 2025, positioning Calypso squarely within current regulatory trends.

Calypso is backing the rollout with a targeted marketing program—social‑media and geo‑targeted digital ads, plus in‑store activations—to meet peak summer demand. The 62 % volume lift indicates strong channel traction; distributors should secure shelf space ahead of the seasonal surge.

Original Press Release

MILWAUKEE, WI – May 19, 2026 – Calypso is pleased to announce the successful rollout of the brand’s Europe-led innovation program, with new products launched last month and now available in 50 markets worldwide.

This rollout marks a significant step forward in Calypso’s international growth strategy, reinforcing the company’s broader global innovation roadmap. The Europe-led innovation program introduced a new Zero Sugar Sparkling Lemonade line in a 330ml can, available in three flavors: Blood Orange Breeze, Apple Oasis and Berry Bloom. This range delivers Calypso’s bold flavor in a zero-sugar format, extending the brand into this fast-growing segment. In addition, the brand expanded its iconic 473ml glass bottle range with two new island-inspired flavor additions: Yuzu Lychee Lemonade and Sunset Peach Lemonade.

Since its launch in March, the European portfolio has continued to expand distribution across international markets, with strong uptake across key trade channels. In markets including the UK and Germany, the innovation program has already landed in grocery, convenience and wholesale, reflecting growing customer demand for distinctive, flavor-led beverages with strong shelf presence.

To support peak summer season, Calypso will make a significant investment in marketing focusing on key markets for brand growth, including the UK, Germany and France. Efforts include social media campaigns, geo-targeted digital advertising, on-the-ground visibility at key events, and retail activity designed to drive shoppers into stores.

Francesco Falletti di Villafalletto, Managing Director, Calypso, added:

“This rollout gives our customers an exciting Calypso proposition heading into the key summer selling season. Internal sales data indicates we are already seeing strong momentum across the EU and UK, with Calypso volumes up 62% in Q1 2026 compared with the same period last year, supported by the successful launch of our new product innovation. The addition of Zero Sugar Sparkling Lemonades allows us to serve more occasions, more channels and more shoppers, while our summer marketing programs are designed to support retailers with the tools they need to drive visibility, trial and sell-through in store.”

With orders open across export markets, Calypso is encouraging retailers and distributors to secure listings and support plans now ahead of peak summer demand.

Calypso’s 2026 international rollout signals the brand’s global innovation strategy. Further pipeline development is already underway as Calypso continues to invest in the long-term global growth of the brand.
