The News

Darco Spirits has expanded its portfolio into over 200 Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) locations, featuring American Harvest Organic Vodka and Beach Whiskey. The rollout marks a key milestone for the company, which was founded by David Adelman, a Philadelphia-based entrepreneur with deep local ties.

The Takeaway

  • Local Roots Matter: Founder David Adelman’s long-standing connections to Philadelphia and his role in local businesses like Campus Apartments show how personal brand identity can drive regional expansion. His involvement with teams like the 76ers highlights a broader strategy of embedding the brand into the community.
  • Premium Positioning: American Harvest Vodka is positioned as a premium, organic option with clear sourcing details—using Idaho wheat and water from protected aquifers. This transparency appeals to consumers looking for authenticity in spirits.
  • Strategic Expansion: The rollout into 200 PLCB locations signals a calculated move to tap into Pennsylvania’s established liquor market. By focusing on specific SKUs like American Harvest Vodka, Darco is testing distribution channels before potentially expanding further.

Original Press Release

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Darco Spirits, the premium American spirits company behind American Harvest Organic Vodka and Beach Whiskey, today announced the expansion of its portfolio into more than 200 Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) locations across the state.

The rollout, which includes American Harvest Vodka and Beach Whiskey glass SKUs, marks both a major distribution milestone and a significant moment for founder David Adelman.

Adelman, a Philadelphia-based entrepreneur and investor, remains deeply connected to the city as CEO of Campus Apartments, Founder of Darco Capital, Co-founder and Vice Chairman of Future Standard (formerly FS Investments), and a partner in Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, whose portfolio includes the Philadelphia 76ers. Bringing Darco Spirits to Pennsylvania marks a natural extension of his long-standing commitment to the market.

“Pennsylvania is home, and bringing this brand here has always been part of the vision,” said David Adelman, Founder of Darco Spirits. “American Harvest Vodka was created to raise the bar for American spirits, and this milestone makes it especially meaningful.”

Leading the Pennsylvania launch is American Harvest Organic Vodka ($25.99 SRP / 750ML), a premium, American-made spirit crafted in small batches using organic soft winter wheat and pure water from the protected aquifers of Idaho’s Snake River Plain. Distilled only once to preserve its natural character, American Harvest delivers a smooth, full-bodied profile that has resonated with consumers seeking quality and authenticity in a premium, American-made vodka.

Entering the Pennsylvania market alongside the launch are Beach Whiskey’s two flagship glass expressions: Island Coconut, a crystal-clear whiskey infused with natural coconut and a hint of wild blueberry (26% ABV, $19.99 SRP / 750ML), and Bonfire Cinnamon, a bold, spiced whiskey crafted with pure cinnamon bark and a touch of capsicum for a warm, lingering finish (35% ABV, $19.99 SRP / 750ML). Both expressions are naturally flavored and free of artificial colors.

“There’s something special about bringing these brands into a market that values both heritage and innovation,” said Sarah Leonard, Chief Marketing Officer, Darco Spirits. “We’re excited to introduce more people across Pennsylvania to a portfolio built on quality and character, and to show up in ways that are visible, relevant, and memorable.”

The Pennsylvania expansion marks a significant milestone for Darco Spirits, establishing a presence in one of the most tightly regulated spirits markets in the U.S. The brand is now available in more than 200 PLCB locations, including Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and key markets statewide. The launch is supported by an integrated marketing approach, with coordinated on- and off-premise activations designed to drive trial, build brand awareness, and accelerate retail velocity. With the nation’s 250th anniversary approaching, the timing of the launch further underscores its significance. Darco Spirits is well positioned to establish a strong foundation and scale its presence across the Commonwealth.

Darco Spirits products are available nationwide through its distributor network at retailers, bars, and restaurants across all 50 states, as well as direct to consumer at americanharvestvodka.com and beachwhiskey.com.
