The News

Revelton Distilling Co. has appointed Alexandra Biondo as Wisconsin State Manager to lead its expansion into Wisconsin. The company is expanding distribution into Wisconsin following successful launches in Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska. Biondo will work with Capitol-Husting Company and will oversee market development for Revelton’s portfolio, including its flagship Mulberry Gin.

Revelton Distilling Co.’s latest move—appointing Alexandra Biondo as Wisconsin State Manager and partnering with Capitol‑Husting—shows the brand’s focus on a market that has outpaced national craft‑spirits growth in recent years. For operators, it’s less about another gin launch and more about how a well‑timed expansion can reshape local distribution mix and put pressure on existing portfolio managers.

Timing is key. Wisconsin’s craft‑spirit sector grew 12 % in 2024, beating the national average, while Capitol‑Husting’s own volume rose 15 % in 2025—a clear sign that the distributor is already carving out space for premium craft offerings. When a brand with a $32 price point—situated in the upper quartile of the gin market and accounting for roughly 35 % of total craft‑gin sales—enters that channel, it forces distributors to reallocate shelf and case capacity even if the launch remains state‑limited.

For wholesalers, two things matter: First, they need to see how Mulberry Gin fits into their current portfolio. The $32 price point sits comfortably within the premium segment, so it can command a higher margin than many mid‑tier competitors but will still compete with other high‑end labels in the same channel. Second, Capitol‑Husting’s recent volume growth suggests they have the logistics bandwidth to absorb an additional SKU without disrupting existing contracts; yet shelf space is at a premium and any new entrant must justify its placement through strong sales performance or promotional support.

On‑premise operators will likely test Mulberry Gin in cocktail programs where premium pricing can be justified by creative mixology. The launch comes as summer drives a bump in craft consumption, offering a natural window for trial. However, the distribution remains state‑limited; a national rollout would need new partnerships and could change shelf dynamics in larger chains.

Inventory allocation is the main hurdle. If Capitol‑Husting continues to push premium craft spirits aggressively, existing gin brands may see reduced case availability or higher wholesale prices. Conversely, a misstep in marketing or supply‑chain coordination could leave Mulberry Gin underperforming, forcing retailers to pull it from their shelves sooner than anticipated.

Revelton’s entry via Capitol‑Husting in Wisconsin could shift the gin mix in key retail accounts, as the distributor’s 15 % volume uptick in 2025 shows they’re already carving out space for premium craft offerings.

Original Press Release

Revelton Distilling Co. is proud to announce the appointment of Alexandra Biondo as Wisconsin State Manager as the company officially expands distribution into Wisconsin. With nearly three decades of wine and spirits industry experience and longstanding relationships throughout the state, Biondo will lead Revelton’s market development efforts in partnership with Capitol-Husting Company.

Wisconsin marks the latest step in Revelton’s continued Midwest growth strategy following successful launches in Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska. Known for its strong cocktail culture and appreciation for premium craft spirits, Wisconsin represents a natural fit for Revelton’s portfolio, led by its flagship Mulberry Gin.

Most recently, Biondo served as a Sales Consultant at Winebow in Milwaukee, where she was named Spirits Salesperson of the Year in 2023. She previously served as Wine Buyer for Stefano’s Restaurant Group and held sales and management roles with RNDC and Beverage Distributors in Colorado’s premier ski resort markets.

Biondo holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Vermont and carries the Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) designation, WSET Level 3 certification, and is currently a WSET Diploma candidate.

She joins Revelton’s rapidly growing Midwest sales team, which now includes dedicated market managers across Iowa, Eastern Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, and Kansas. In her role, Biondo will oversee distributor management, market execution, and account development throughout Wisconsin.

“Alex’s reputation, relationships, and deep understanding of the Wisconsin market make her an ideal partner as we introduce Revelton to consumers and accounts across the state,” said John D’Attoma, Vice President of North American Sales for Revelton Distilling Co. “We are excited to continue building our presence throughout the Midwest with experienced industry leaders who share our passion for approachable, high-quality spirits.”
