Original Press Release

NXTPoint Logistics, a leading provider of logistics and supply chain solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Liantonio as its new President. Liantonio brings a wealth of experience and a track record of successful leadership in the third-party logistics, supply chain and distribution industries, spanning over three decades.

Liantonio most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Wrist Ship Supply’s North and Central America regions, a position he has held since 2017. Wrist Ship Supply is the world’s largest global marine supply company, supplying food and non-food products to all maritime vessels, cruise ships, and the offshore oil and gas industry. North and Central America are Wrist’s largest regions. In that role, Liantonio was responsible for all locations in the United States, Canada and Panama, overseeing sales, procurement/purchasing, logistics and warehouse/fulfillment operations for each.

“Mike brings a long track record of success in supply chain, logistics and distribution to NXTPoint Logistics that will help us elevate our business and accelerate our growth,” says Mike Brannigan, President and CEO of The Suddath Companies, the parent company of NXTPoint Logistics. “Mike is a natural leader, dating back to his time in the military, and we look forward to having him join our talented team to continue to bring innovative supply chain solutions to our customers.”

Before his tenure at Wrist Ship Supply, Liantonio held key roles in renowned companies within the logistics sector, including FedEx Supply Chain Solutions; Yusen Logistics; Momentum Transportation, a premier Landstar agent; CSX; and i2 Technologies, which was acquired by Blue Yonder in 2010. His diverse experience encompasses all elements of the supply chain across multiple industry segments.

Beyond his professional achievements, Liantonio’s commitment to excellence was evident during his service to our country. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served approximately 10 years in the U.S. Army, culminating as the Company Commander for a transportation company while deployed overseas in Bosnia. His passion for transportation and logistics was forged in the military and followed him to the private sector upon retirement from active duty.
