The News

Jordan Vineyard & Winery, a certified sustainable winery known for its chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon, has appointed M.S. Walker as its exclusive distributor in New York State. The partnership will begin on July 1, 2026, and will cover sales, distribution, and brand-building efforts for Jordan's wine portfolio. Jordan is a family-owned winery that emphasizes balance, consistency, and refinement in its wines.

Jordan Vineyard & Winery has announced an exclusive distribution deal with M.S. Walker that will take effect on July 1, 2026 in New York’s $2.4 billion wine market. The agreement gives Jordan immediate shelf space for its French‑inspired Cabernet and Chardonnay through a single wholesaler, a rare opportunity for premium labels to thrive in the state.

The partnership builds on more than three decades of collaboration between the two companies; Walker already runs direct distribution in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont. That existing footprint means Jordan can launch without establishing a new sales network from scratch.

Jordan operates roughly 120 acres of sustainably certified vineyards, with an estate that spans about 1 200 acres. The sustainability credentials are a key differentiator in New York’s premium wine market, where consumers are willing to pay for provenance and environmental stewardship. French‑inspired varietals combined with a green supply chain fit well with the state’s appetite for high‑quality fruit wines.

M.S. Walker will need to increase inventory of its flagship Cab from Alexander Valley and Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley to meet demand, as New York accounts for roughly 3 % of U.S. wine sales (≈$2.4B ÷ $80B) yet remains fiercely competitive. Other distributors in the region may look to add comparable French‑inspired wines or broaden their premium offerings to fill the gap left by Jordan’s partnership.

Retailers and bars can slot Jordan’s premium wines onto high‑margin shelves, but those who rely on other distributors must negotiate directly with Walker for access—or seek alternate premium options—to keep their wine programs fresh. The exclusive arrangement positions Jordan to capture a share of New York’s lucrative premium segment while creating a focused distribution model that could influence pricing and inventory dynamics across the state.

Original Press Release

New York, NY – Jordan Vineyard & Winery, the certified sustainable producer of French-inspired chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon in Sonoma County's Alexander Valley, has appointed M.S. Walker as its exclusive distributor in New York State. Effective July 1, 2026, M.S. Walker will manage sales, distribution, and brand-building efforts for the Jordan portfolio across the state.

Since its founding in 1972, Jordan has focused on three things: chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, and hospitality. Inspired by the great wine estates of France, Jordan Vineyard & Winery has built a reputation for elegant, food-driven wines rooted in balance, consistency, and refinement. The estate operates with the belief that wine should not overpower the food at any table, but act as the bridge that connects all the little details of a memorable meal. Jordan’s guiding philosophy to winemaking is to achieve a balance among all components of the wine—and to make no compromises in that pursuit. Dedication to quality and harmony between fruit, acidity, tannin, and alcohol ensures a wine of finesse and enduring elegance, as well as a thread of continuity in style from vintage to vintage.

“Jordan Vineyard & Winery has long stood as a benchmark for American fine wine, and M.S. Walker is honored to represent this iconic family-owned brand in New York,” said Doug Shaw, President + CEO of M.S. Walker. “Our companies have collaborated for more than three decades, and we share a deep commitment to quality, hospitality, and long-term relationships, as well as a belief in the enduring role exceptional wine plays at the table—in great restaurants, in people’s homes, and in moments of connection.”

“Intentional, long-term partnerships have always been a central part of Jordan’s approach and growth, which is why we’re excited to begin this next chapter with M.S. Walker in New York,” said John Jordan, chief executive officer of Jordan Vineyard & Winery. “Having worked together successfully across several Northeastern markets for many years, we share a strong alignment in values, services, and commitment to quality. Together, we look forward to continuing to deliver the elevated experience our customers and trade partners expect from Jordan.”

Jordan Vineyard & Winery is currently distributed in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Vermont by M.S. Walker.
